We call this impact-led procurement.
The Purchasing with Purpose collaborative provides the platform for these relationships and connections between impact-led buyers and the enterprises so they can grow and thrive.
Why choose impact-led procurement?
Estimates show there are more than 1.3m enterprises that put people and planet first in the US, operating in more than 90 spend categories.
It has traditionally been difficult to identify and compare these businesses because of a lack of collective identity or unifying legal structure but the new People and Planet First verification is changing this.
Through impact-led procurement we have an opportunity to tell a new story of business, one in which business and the market is at the centre of developing our local communities and addressing social and environmental challenges. We can cut through political divides and focus on what matters to communities across America, using the spending power of business to deliver that impact.
